On the slightly brighter side, other news outlets are still reporting that the latest 'great idea' is merely stalled.

Bloomberg is too early on the call. The gusher may be mostly capped in the next 24 hours.

that is very disturbing.
Hopefully this crisis won't break the back of the oceans and doom all life in them to certain extinction, leading to the early extinction of all life on the planet even before global warming feedbacks kick in in a few years' time.
