The 'Prince' must stay out of the fray

More on this later, but Ignatieff has to avoid this sort of thing:
Mr. Ignatieff at first told reporters Friday that he did not want to play “games” by criticizing the NDP's position, but did later poke fun at his rivals on the opposition benches.

“Jack and Gilles have gone up the hill, and we know how that little fairy tale ends,” he said.
That's a good quote, but one of his lieutenants should have pitched it.

why not, it shows what kind of petty & small minded leader he is - you don't want him hiding behind his sweater do you - or show how much alike he is in character to Steven Harper.

Ah, yes, the sweater vest. That was over-the-top.

I don't think it shows anything, yet. Repeated behaviour like that would make him seem trite.

however, sorry, but the quote is good. Of offence only to those who won't vote for the Liberals anyway.

And it does illustrate a theme: Trying to deal with Harper is a waste of time.
